Oglesby Plants International is pleased to announce the hiring of Shane Pangle as the company’s sales and marketing director. Shane steps into his new position, with the retirement of long-time Oglesby employee and current sales manager, Ginger Goff.
Pangle brings 20+ years of sales and management experience in the horticulture industry to Oglesby. He has a proven track record of success, driven by his strengths in leadership, team building, processes, communication and problem-solving. Most recently, Pangle was vice president/owner partner at Futch’s Landscaping in Palatka, FL. Before that, he was employed by Cherrylake, Inc., in Groveland, FL, as sales manager and then as director of sales.
Coinciding with Pangle joining Oglesby, the company is recognizing and honoring retiring sales manager, Ginger Goff. Goff has been a vital part of Oglesby for 15 years, first as a sales representative and, in recent years, as the Oglesby sales team leader.
“This is a bittersweet moment for us,” said Gary Hennen, president of Oglesby Plants International. “Ginger has contributed so much to the success of Oglesby over the years. We’ll miss her and wish her all the best in this new chapter of her life. At the same time, we’re excited that Shane is picking up where Ginger leaves off. His expertise in sales and marketing and a commitment to grower service and support is a winning combination for Oglesby and present and future customers.”
