Ohio St. University in Columbus has scheduled a Plastic Flower Pot and Tray Recycling Event for June 19. During the event Ohio residents will be able to drop off plastic pots and trays along with clean, non-food polystyrene or plastic foam, such as packing peanuts and rigid packing forms used for boxing computers and televisions. People who plan to participate are being asked to remove dirt and debris from the pots and trays.
Event sponsors include the university’s Chadwick Arboretum and Learning Gardens, Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio and Phoenix Recycling Inc. Phoenix Recycling is supplying a semi-truck trailer to collect the recycled items.
