OHP has announced that its Fuerte Herbicide has been granted registration by California and is now available through authorized distributors in the state.
Fuerte "offers nursery growers a unique pre-emergent combination granular product that helps control broadleaf and grassy weeds in field, container, and landscape ornamentals." It features two active ingredients (flumioxazin and prodiamine) combined into one product for the first time. Fuerte produces "virtually no dust and low odor."
"The dual active ingredients in Fuerte are natural partners that have a proven track record for excellent weed control and overall plant tolerance," says Sam Drahn, OHP technical manager for herbicides. "Fuerte offers the strength needed for weed control in challenging conditions."
Fuerte
provides residual weed control of many common and difficult-to-control weeds
such as bittercress, spurge, crabgrass, groundsel, chickweed, henbit, horseweed
(marestail), and other key weeds on trees, shrubs, conifers, and landscape
ornamentals without harming desirable plant material. It can also be used in container ornamental production.
