‘Orange Blaze’ bell pepper from Seminis has been designated a 2011 All-America Selections Winner. At AAS trial sites across North America this sweet orange bell pepper was found to mature early, had a sweet flavor and was disease resistant. It matured to a bright orange color earlier than comparable varieties.
The sweet flavored colorful fruit is ready for harvesting about 65-70 days from transplant. ‘Orange Blaze’ produces 3- to 4-inch long and 1½-inch wide fruit with 2-3 lobes. It is highly resistant to diseases Xcv 0-3, 7, 8 (bacterial leaf spot) and Tm Po (Tobamovirus) ensuring a larger harvest. Plants reach 24 inches tall and 18 inches.
