Organic Trade Association, which has been located in Greenfield, Mass., since 1990, is relocating its headquarters this fall to Brattleboro, Vt. The Vermont Economic Progress Council has approved up to $86,300 in Vermont Employment Growth Incentives to enable the association to move its operations.
According to the 2008 Organic Production Survey conducted by USDA-National Agricultural Statistical Service, Vermont ranked 10th of all states in the number of organic farms. The state’s organic farm sales at nearly $73 million ranked Vermont eighth in sales by state.
