Karuturi Global Ltd, the world’s biggest producer of cut roses, was found guilty of tax evasion by the Kenyan government.

UK delivery service Flowers4 has suspended trading, citing account balance difficulties.

German florist association FDF has partnered with Floribox and Omniflora, two sustainable cut flower producers.

Horticulture supplier Brinkman’s three divisions - Agro, Horti Techniek and Brinkman International, are continuing under one name: Royal Brinkman.

The management of Landgard UK has finalized a management buy-out of the business from its German parent company, and rebranded itself as Verde Horticulture, which was subsequently bought by Butters Group.

Nevado Roses has opened a luxury flower shop in the new Quito Airport, called I Love Roses, in a new attempt at successful in-airport flower sales.

Dutch Santini nursery Overgaag has entered into a unique project with Van Vliet Recycling, whereby the company’s flowers will be growing on a mixture consisting primarily of compost from its own greenery waste.

Controlled Environments Ltd. (Conviron) has acquired Argus Control Systems, resulting in a plant science and biotechnology powerhouse.

The Haifa Group and MGS Horticultural have signed an agreement to purchase Plant Products Co., Canada’s largest supplier of pesticides and fertilizer.
