PlantHaven will be conducting its first Fall Open Day Comparison Trials of its two largest plant series: Whetman dianthus and Mystic dahlias. The event will be held at GroLink Plant Co. in Oxnard, Calif., Aug. 15 from 8 a.m.–3 p.m.
The crops have been grown side by side in 2-gallon containers. The company will also be showing some up-and-coming selections for 2012-2013. Mystic dahlia breeder Keith Hammett from New Zealand will also be attending the event. A light lunch and drinks will be served at noon. Reservations can be made at denise.frey@planthaven.com.
