Plantpeddler, a plant supplier based in Cresco, Iowa, is building a retail complex.

Founded in retail since 1980, the new facility will allow expansion in floral, gift and garden center product lines. The primary retail operation will operate in a 6,000-square-foot widespan steel building, with a vaulted ceiling, multilevel shopping, central cooler and efficient floral design space, which will be connected to the greenhouse space.

The greenhouse covers 9,000 square feet of gutter-connected greenhouses with a glass south gable end to allow for maximum curb appeal. The space is designed with all movable fixtures to allow maximum flexibility in usage, including corporate events.

More than 60 people participated in a groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility in March.

The target opening date for the new retail complex is Nov. 22-23, 2025, when Plantpeddler will celebrate its 45th anniversary Christmas open house and grand opening.
