Promotional Line Dianthus features new Whetman breeding

PlantHaven announces that the Promotional Line Dianthus varieties feature some of the newest Whetman breeding. The company suggests that each of the stand-alone selections would be ideal for end-cap retail promotions. Choosing one to grow can make for an impulse purchase item in 4- or 6-inch containers. These varieties have colorful, fragrant blooms and their own special characteristics. Raspberry Swirl (‘Devon Siskin’) has masses of light pink petals with deep maroon markings. Rosebud (‘WP08 ROS03’) features nonstop, fragrant flowers that look like little watermelon-colored rosebuds. Silver Star (‘WP10 HEL01’) has delicately fringed, semi-double flowers with a maroon eye and elegant silvery foliage. ‘Starburst’ has cherry-red and white patterned flowers reminiscent of old fashioned humbug sweets.
