Spring Meadow Nursery Inc., a market leader in flowering shrubs, potted liners and starter plants, and the leading force behind the Proven Winners ColorChoice brand, announced Ryan McGrath, a 10-year veteran in public relations and marketing communications, has joined the nursery as Marketing and Public Relations Specialist.
The Grand Haven, Mich.-based wholesale propagation nursery said McGrath will assist with the company’s public relations and media relations, in addition to developing catalogs, newsletters, press releases, direct mail and other marketing materials to promote the Proven Winners shrub line.
McGrath was previously a senior account manager at a leading Michigan-based public relations firm. With the addition of McGrath, the Proven Winners ColorChoice marketing department now includes five professionals.
“With four exciting plants hitting the market in spring 2010, we are investing into our marketing resources to help our customers promote products at the retail level,” said Tim Wood, product development and marketing manager for Spring Meadow Nursery. “Our new Proven Winners shrubs, Invincibelle Spirit Hydrangea, Bloomerang Lilac, Incrediball Hydrangea and Lo & Behold Blue Chip Buddleia, are welcome additions to best-sellers such as ‘Limelight’ Hydrangea and Wine & Roses Weigela. Ryan will be a welcome addition to our team and we look forward to his contributions.”
