Purdue University is hosting an LED Open House on Jan. 31 from 1-5 p.m.
The open house will feature the latest in LEDfloriculture and high-wire tomato LED research being conducted by the Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture and Purdue. Attendees will have the opportunity to see supplemental and sole-source (multilayer chamber) LED lighting of plugs, LED photoperiodic lighting of annuals, end of production LED lighting to enhance foliage color, and tower intra-canopy supplemental LED lighting of tomatoes.The open house is sponsored by Purdue Extension, the Purdue Department of Horticulture and Landscape Architecture, USDA SpecialtyCrop Research Initiative, HortAmericas and Philips Lighting. The greenhouse is located at the corner of Marsteller and Harrison streets on Purdue’s West Lafayette, Indiana campus.
