Sakata’s new offerings and timeless favorites can be experienced in person this spring at the California Spring Trials. “We’re so excited to present our new Ornamentals for 2015, said Ron Garofalo, sales manager at Sakata Seed America. New variety highlights include:
New Series –
Sakata is excited to present the Proud Mari series. Proud Mari is an F1 hybrid African Marigold with thick flower stems. Available in three colors, Proud Mari provides excellent landscape performance and uniform bloom time and height.
New Colors –
The new offering also features new colors of Sakata’s celebrated SunPatiens® Spreading and Compact series. The annuals are nationally recognized for their vibrant color, low maintenance and robust, disease-resistant performance. In fact, recent introduction SunPatiens Spreading Shell Pink took home the first-ever vegetative 2015 AAS Flower Award.
New Cyclamen Offering –
Among the new additions, the cyclamen line-up shines through as a favorite. Bred by leading cyclamen experts at Schoneveld Breeding, Sakata is proud to be the exclusive distributor of Schoneveld cyclamen genetics in NAFTA. Great as a pot or bedding plant, Schoneveld cyclamen series boast desirable qualities such as uniformity, thick flower stems, central blooming, long shelf life, and an array of colors.
