Growers, distributors and garden center retailers are invited to attend Sakata Ornamental’s Cool Crop Open House and Primula Workshop, Jan. 26-28, in Salinas, Calif. A primula production workshop for growers is scheduled for Jan. 27 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The workshop will focus on production considerations and challenges and will also offer retail marketing tips. Open tours of the trials are available, appointments are appreciated.
Attendees will be able to view Sakata’s primula series, including Danova, Daniella, Delight, Rosanna and Super Nova and Primula malicoides Prima. Other cool season crops that will be shown are Sakata’s Poppy Wonderland series, Ranunculus Bloomingdale series, Anemone Harmony series, Pansy Majestic Giants II series and other high impact companion crops.
The grower workshop on the 27th will focus on production considerations and challenges while offering retail marketing tips.
