The Cyclamen Open Days 2020 were far different this year for Schoneveld Breeding from Wilp. Due to the COVID-19 measures, the original setup could not continue. Instead of receiving as many people as possible in the greenhouses, the breeder went digital this year.
Area managers and growing advisors were still able to show 70 visitors through the greenhouses, considering all measures against COVID-19. The people of Schoneveld Breeding supplemented this with digital guided tours, in which about 100 international guests took part. All in all, the reach was much wider than in other years.
The new large-flowered Cyclamen Super Serie Leopardo in particular was in the spotlight. This heat tolerant powerhouse is easy to grow, flowers early in the season and is introduced in six colors. The Leopardo means that a mini, midi or large-flowered Cyclamen from Schoneveld Breeding is now available all year round, anywhere in the world.
In addition to the Leopardo, the company was able to show even more news. The Super Serie Crayon, for example, was featured extensively during the tours. This new mini Cyclamen has a unique flower pattern that is reminiscent of a pinstripe. Schoneveld Breeding has created the Best for Outdoor quality mark for outdoor use. There are currently four Cyclamen Super Series in which a selection of colors can bear the Best for Outdoor quality mark, namely Super Serie Verano, Super Serie Donatello, Super Serie Carino and Super Serie Picasso.
During the Cyclamen Open Days, videos were made of all products in which the highlights and unique features are shown. From now on, the entire range can also be viewed in moving images and Schoneveld Breeding is proud of that! Take a look at the playlist and discover the complete product range
