ECGC Distributors Ltd. announced that Schubert Nursery, Salinas, Calif., is the recipient of its 2009 Award of Distinction. This award recognizes the interior plant grower for its distinctive product and service in 2009. The Award of Distinction is the only national award recognizing the interior foliage industry.
Schubert Nursery has been growing a unique selection of handcrafted plants for over 40 years. The company specializes in a full selection of ivy topiary shapes, ferns and herbs. Schubert Nursery has a warehouse operation in North Carolina that allows better service to the east coast. The award will be presented at the IGC show, Aug. 17-19, in Chicago.
ECGC Distributors presents awards in other venues to honor the outstanding support of their vendors. The Vendor of the Year Award is given to the highest rated woody-plant grower. The Awards of Excellence, co-sponsored by AmericasMart is given to Christmas and decorative vendors during the January mart in Atlanta. And the Award of Excellence, Garden Supply is given to hard goods suppliers at the IGC show.
