Leonardo Academy is accepting applications for 5 vacant seats on the Nat’l. Sustainable Agriculture Standards Committee in the stakeholder categories: producer (1); user (2), environmentalist (1) and general interest (1). Individuals participating across the entire ag supply chain, including growers, industry organizations, distributors, retailers, etc., who are interested in engaging in a national dialogue on sustainable agriculture are encouraged to submit an application. Individuals who previously submitted applications for committee membership will automatically be placed in the pool of applicants for the current openings. Applications must be received by Dec. 28, 2009. New committee members will be announced on Jan. 18, 2010.
Leonardo Academy is also accepting applications for membership on the standards subcommittees. The subcommittees will be exploring a range of key issues, engaging additional stakeholders, developing draft criteria and providing recommendations and guidance to the standards committee.
