LISLE, Ill. -- SHS Griffin announced today the release of its distribution catalog for the 2013-14 season. The publication combines elements from the former SHS (Syngenta Horticultural Services) and GPS Hort catalogs, delivering a mix of content both familiar and new to customers of the two legacy businesses.
In the pages of the new catalog, customers of the former SHS business will recognize the company’s full seed distribution assortment. The SHS Griffin seed portfolio is among the broadest in the industry, spanning more than 3,500 varieties.
“As a full-service stocking distributor, SHS Griffin is uniquely dedicated to the seed business,” Jeanne Svob, seed business manager for SHS Griffin, said. “The new catalog highlights our comprehensive assortment of seed annuals, perennials, herbs, grasses and vegetables, selected with focus on quality and consistent performance from the greenhouse to the home garden.”
From the company’s GPS Hort lineage, the 2014 SHS Griffin catalog features a robust sampling of the company’s spring vegetative offer. The full spring-annual assortment from Syngenta Flowers-GoldFisch Vegetative is included, along with selections from eight other leading breeders. The catalog highlights new, unique and top-selling varieties from Proven Winners, Dummen, Suntory and more.
“The inclusion of these spring vegetative varieties provides growers with a more complete look at the SHS Griffin lineup,” Jim Peters, brokerage business manager for SHS Griffin, said. “Our customers will benefit from having the best of our brokerage offer, paired with our full seed assortment, in one catalog. We expect it to be a useful resource for growers.”
