Syngenta plans to establish 2 separate organizations for its flowers wholesale and distribution activities in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Under the name of Syngenta Flowers, the wholesale organization will serve young plant producers and distributors. Syngenta Flowers will offer a range of genetic material, including the Goldsmith Seeds varieties, along with providing professional crop advice.
Syngenta Flowers will also develop the ornamental controls business in the region, combining its crop protection and flowers expertise into a value adding offer. Under the name of FloriPro Services, the distribution organization will mainly focus on young plants, but will also sell seed and unrooted cuttings directly to growers. FloriPro Services will operate through its own dedicated and independent network across Europe, consisting of sales, marketing, customer service and technical service.
The process to establish separate wholesale and distribution activities will continue over the coming months. Syngenta will present FloriPro Services and Syngenta Flowers for the first time at the IPM 2010.
