During this year’s Mich. St. Univ. Garden Showcase, trial gardens manager Chris Noffsinger gave a presentation on the annuals that were this year’s top performers. She selected 25 annuals that should be considered based on flower performance (earliness of bloom, length of flowering season, flower shape and size uniformity, color consistency), plant habit uniformity, insect tolerance, disease resistance and holding ability in wind and rain. You can read about more top performers at field trials from across the U.S. and Canada in the upcoming Oct. issue of GMPRO.
