Toro is offering a 4-color, 8-page informational resource, entitled “What is Drip Irrigation?” The manual outlines advantages of drip irrigation, including increased yields and quality and lower usage and costs for water, fertilizer, energy, labor and chemicals. Runoff and deep percolation are usually reduced and water application to non-target areas is also avoided. The paper discusses various emission devices and distribution and control systems, translates drip jargon and provides a reference chart comparing drip technology to both sprinkler and gravity irrigation. A Spanish version of the resource is also available.
