UC Davis to host neonic conference

The Sept. 9 event aims to separate the truth from the myth of neonicotinoids and their impact on pollinators.

Registration is now open for the neonicotinoid conference put on by the UC Davis Department of Entomology & Nematology, UC ANR, and the UC Davis California Center for Urban Horticulture (CCUH). The event takes place Sept. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the UC Davis Conference Center. Cost is $50 per person.

Lunch and a post-conference appetizer is included in the registration. The event will cover the following topics.

  • Overview of neonicotinoids and pollinators
  • CA pesticide regulation of neonicotinoids
  • Current and past neonicotinoid and pollinator research
  • Neonicotinoid risks associated with invasive species management
  • Stakeholder panel on neonicotinoid: issues and concerns
