From KTOO News: The U.S. Department of Agriculture is preparing to dispose of a $1.2 million greenhouse complex in Fairbanks that was completed just this year.
The complex was part of a USDA research station.
The federal department in a cost cutting measure closed 10 research stations this year, including Alaska’s.
The new Fairbanks facility consists of two greenhouses, lab modules and a 64-by-64-foot support building.
