USDA is inviting the public to participate in the biannual meeting of the National Organic Standards Board, Oct. 25–28, in Madison, Wis. The meeting is an opportunity for interested parties to provide recommendations and discuss topics concerning organic agriculture. USDA encourages the public to provide comments on the recommendations. Once compiled, the recommendations are submitted to USDA National Organic Program for further consideration and potential inclusion in the federal organic regulations.
NOSB will also present recommendations concerning those materials petitioned for inclusion on the National List of Allowable and Prohibited Substances, in addition to determining whether to relist materials currently on the National List.
