Syngenta Flowers, Ball Horticultural Co. and GroLink are collaborating with Society of American Florists and American Nursery & Landscape Association in presenting an online webinar about white rust on chrysanthemums. The free 30-minute webinar will be presented on six days in July and August, including a special webinar in Spanish on July 20.
Chrysanthemum white rust is a quarantine-significant pest, so it’s particularly important for growers to be aware of the steps they can take to avoid the disease in their fall mum crop.
The webinar will be conducted by Syngenta Flowers plant pathologist Jane Trolinger. The webinar includes excellent photographs teaching participants to recognize disease symptoms. Important advice will be offered on how to avoid the disease. Webinar participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions of Dr. Trolinger.
Webinar sessions have been scheduled for:
July 14, 1 p.m. EDT
July 20, 10 a.m. EDT and in Spanish at 1 p.m. EDT
July 26, 10 a.m. EDT and 1 p.m. EDT
Aug. 3, 10 a.m. EDT and 1 p.m. EDT
Aug. 16, 1 p.m. EDT
