Honors

Florida Nursery, Growers and Landscape Association, Palm Beach County Chapter, presented the James J. Lulfs Industry Service Award to William (Bill) Schall, Palm Beach County Extension; and Elise Ryan, Color Garden Farms, Loxahatchee.

Business changes

American Vanguard Corp., Newport Beach, Calif., acquired the pentachloronitrobenzene fungicide product line from Chemtura Corp. Crop Protection Division. Middlebury, Conn.

Seville Farms Inc., Lillian, Texas, became a licensed grower of Anthony Tesselaar USA Inc. products.

Pell Greenhouses, Hudsonville, Mich., is expanding its production of Bodger Botanicals vegetative cuttings. Linters produced at Pell will be consolidated and shipped from Mast Young Plants at Neal Mast Greenhouse, Grand Rapids, Mich.

McGregor Plant Sales, Carlsbad, Calif., and Elsner PAC, Germany, formed a partnership to provide unrooted geranium cuttings from Israel to North American growers.

Laurie Rudd Public Relations, Winterville, N.C., opened to provide public relations, promotions and marketing to the casual/outdoor living industry.

Deaths

Max D. Bergquist, owner of Green Arrow Nursery, Green Thumb International Nurseries and Farmers Fertilizer, died Nov. 19, 2007. He was 87.
