Plants Nouveau represents a line of beautiful, wilt resistant clematis from expert breeder Ton Hannink in The Netherlands. The Sugar-Sweet series consists of two flavors, Blue and Lilac. Sugar-Sweet Blue has periwinkle blue buds that unfurl to star shaped blooms and develop and silvery-white center stripe as they age. A sweet fragrance reminiscent of gardenias fills the air around this wilt-resistant, super hardy, medium sized climber. Sugar-Sweet Lilac has sweet honeysuckle perfume that surrounds each violet-pink bloom throughout the growing season. As blooms mature, a lilac stripe appears in the center of each petal, giving the blooms dimension. Both grow 6-9 feet tall, bloom from April to June and are hardy to USDA Hardiness Zone 4.
