RootGel from GelTech Solutions is a super absorbent/soil conditioner that expands in the presence of water to increase the water holding capacity of potting mixes and soils. It reduces the frequency of irrigation by up to 50 percent and also limits the leaching of nutrients. RootGel lowers plant shock during transplanting and transporting. It is compatible with fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. It can be applied prior to planting as a granular product or sprayed topically in a specially formulated sprayable fine particle blend.
