AquaMat from Soleno Textiles uses 80 percent less water than conventional irrigation systems. This patented system is based on a high-performance, multi-layer textile that allows even distribution of water, prevents surface evaporation and requires considerably less water than hand watering, fixed sprinkler systems or drip irrigation. The key is the evaporation block layer placed between the root-proof top layer and bottom layer absorbent felt. This separation keeps the top layer dry and stops virtually all evaporation from occurring.
